Son started a load. Later I came to find tge door was locked and it just sitting there. The red light was on but no other numbers or lights.
It would not respond to any buttons other than a beep.
I ended up manually unlocking the door to remove the clothes. I unplugged it for about 5 min and tryed to run a load the door locked and the machine did not start. Again no buttons respond. I replaced the door lock mechanism
And the same has thing. Any ideas? The 1st time the clothes were real wet like it failed before the spin cycle and seened clean there was no water in the drum.

Try cleaning the connections to and from the User interface and the main control board. Watch this video by APP to see how to access these parts.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XlGBUZJw3A You don't have to completely disassemble like Matt, I just use this to show you how to access the parts.
Use a connector cleaner on the ribbon / wire harness ends and the pins on the boards themselves. See picture for example.
