I have an issue that might be an easy fix, don't know for sure. Yesterday, the fridge just stopped dispensing water from the door, however, it was dispensing drops of water for several seconds, now no water comes out at all. If I leave it alone for about 1 minute or so, then try again, drops of water will come out for a few seconds, until no water comes out. Obviously this isn't normal. There is not a steady flow of water as before. I figured it could be the water filter causing the issue. This is what i did; I removed the old filter and water started flowing steadily from the dispenser as it normally would. I purchased a new water filter from Lowe's and installed it right away. Guess what? Water is not coming out of the dispenser door, even with the new filter in place. If I remove the filter, water starts to dispense again. I spent $50 for nothing. What is going on? Can someone help me get to the bottom of this. Thank you.

Just to give you an update, I assumed the issue was only with the water dispenser, apparently it also affected the ice maker. You can hear a buzzing or humming sound, indicating water is supposed to fill the ice maker to make new ice cubes, however, you can clearly hear that no water is passing through. This occurred with the new filter in place. Of course upon removing the filter, minutes later I can hear water filling the ice maker to make new ice cubes. I'm thinking it's the water filter housing, however, there is a video on applicancepartspros.com that shows you how to remove it, but the guy in the video says the main reason for wanting to replace the water filter housing is if you have water leakage. I don't have any water leaks that I'm aware of. Could it be a different part?
