The spin cycle goes nowhere on 2 of 3 wash settings. Unless we jump to the spin cycle on the one setting where it still functions we'll just have a tub full of water and wet clothes.
Because the spin cycle does work in the one setting, I'm not real sure what could possibly be wrong.

I guess the good news is that your machine does enter the spin/drain cycle. I suspect that your timer is the culprit. It may be the contacts inside the timer are burnt. I imagine the setting that your machine will spin on is the delicate cycle? If that is the case then the timer contacts for high speed spin are bad. You can order a timer right here Whirlpool WP35-3840 Timer - AppliancePartsPros.com I hope this helps, if you have further questions or information to share please reply. If you replace the timer let us know how it turns out!
