I have a maytag 2 belt washer. It started leaking when washing clothes so I got tub seal kit and tore into the Washing machine. While disassembling I discovered the agitator shaft pulls up with the agitator. While I have the machine disassembled, what should I look at in the transmission to fix this problem? .

Well, according to the breakout, I ordered an O-ring (part 14) and the agitator collar (part 18). The collar is the only thing I see that would hold the shaft in. I hope I'm right. I also ordered the lower lip (part 9) seal because a while ago gear oil leaked all over the floor. This appears to be the seal required for this. Any help or confirmation I'm doing the right things would be helpful.

Wish me luck

The O ring and collar took care of the problem. I'm good to go.
