We inherited a fairly new Kenmore 500 washing machine from my mother-in-law. My sister-in-law used it, without issue, prior to moving to our house and hooking it up. Upon filling to run the first load of clothes, the hot water stopped after about 10 seconds, and it will only fill with cold. I replaced the water inlet valve with part #WP3979346, afterchatting with someone here. Easy fix, or so I thought. The problem still persists. The first load after replacing the valve, the hot seemed to 'cycle' on and off, rather than having a steady stream of warm/hot water.

Any ideas?
