My dishwasher won't heat to dry dishes and the element is not hot during various points of the wash cycle. We used a dishwasher cleaner bottle and it didn't get hot enough to melt the wax plug.

Replaced the element a few weeks back, and it currently has a reading of 12.5 when I test for continuity. Just replaced the thermostat. Still no heat.

What's next?

Just a follow up to my original post for anyone who might come across this in the future...like I did two years after the first time I ran into the problem (and forgot the solution!).

If the heating element goes out on this machine then the control board is tripped so it stops sending a signal to the element. After you switch out the element you have to reset the control board to get the signal going back to the element. Does this by closing the washer, and then pressing any three keys in the following sequence 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3 with less than a second between key presses. Then you're good to go.
