I have a Kenmore Coldspot 106. It was having trouble cooling down and the surface area between the refrigerator and freezer was very hot as well as the compressor. I cleaned the coils underneath the unit and the fan blowing on the compressor is working. This helped slightly. When I put a small desk fan behind the unit blowing partially on the compressor and the coils it seems to work fine. Any ideas? Thanks John H

With additional air flow across the coils and compressor, it very well could be a leak in the compressor/cooling coil system, or a restriction in the orifice tube (if it has one). This is not a DIY FIX. Repair guy should be able to determine leak, and depending on where, repair it and fill with new refrigerant.
