The electric oven thermostat on our ancient Kenmore oven. They don't make the part any more and list no replacement.
The old thermostat has only 2 terminals, L1 and BKE1. The old thermostat allowed for bake temperature and a Broil setting.
I purchased a universal thermostat 6700S0011. It has 6 terminals labelled L1, L2, BKE1, BRL2, PL, and COM3.
I have a wiring diagram for the oven with me but the oven is at the cabin.
I'm looking for help in identifying the 6 terminals and how to wire it to.my old stove.
I have surmised that the old thermostat would close the switch when put in Broil and with the separate Selector switch put in Broil.mode, it would turn the broiler on.
But with the Selector in Baker mode, then the thermostat would control closing and opening the circuit for the Baking coil.
With some help, I should be able to reconfigure the wires from the Selector switch to make this work.
Suggestions?

Sorry. I meant that the old thermostat failed.

What is the COM terminal likely to be?
Also what is PL for?
