Hoping somebody can help here.

I had a Whirlpool Duet WFW95 front load washing machine for 5 months. One day I pulled out the dispenser drawer completely and found mold growing in the back of the detergent dispenser housing. Not on the drawer or dispenser itself, but inside the housing.

I was given a replacement WFW92 (load and go) from the company I purchased it from. I have had it for 2 months now, have left the dispenser drawer open to air out at all times when not running a load of laundry, and I found mold growing in the housing again just yesterday.

I use HE detergent, measure it, use less than recommended sometimes, use Oxy, run more clean cycles than necessary, do extra rinses, use bleach and affresh tabs, leave the door open, and wipe the detergent drawer, door, and seal fairly often.

Does anybody have experience with mold growing inside this housing and what is most likely causing it? How can I prevent it? I really don't want to be digging around and cleaning mold out of the compartment every month for a brand new washing machine.

I have uploaded pictures of the problem.

Thanks!
