The water is overflowing when filling the ice maker and running down to the bottom of freezer and freezing. Then when it thaws a little, it leaks out of the bottom of the freezer door.

I have replaced the ice maker and the water inlet valve on the back of of the fridge. It is still happening even after these 2 items have been replaced. Is there anything else I can try?

Last time I changed the filter, the water poured out of the filter housing. I am waiting on that part for replacement. Could it be causing the overflow in the freezer?

My guess is you are looking in the wrong place. Take the lower back panel off in freezer side. You will see the coils and below them a drainage pan. In the center of pan is a drainage hole to drain water to pan under fridge when it goes in defrost. Sounds like hole is froze over or blocked & water is running out to bottom of freezer & out front of door. I usually put a screw driver over hole & heat it with a hair dryer to slowly melt ice & get the drain hole open. If you see a lot of ice in pan after you remove the back cover you can bet that hole is blocked. Hope this helps. Dave

Ok. Replaced the inlet valve because water was overflowing ice maker and I could see where it was forming ice and dripping down onto the shelves and food..

Replaced ice maker because I was getting flakes of stuff in my ice.

Then there was still water/ice collecting on the bottom. So ,just as you described, I did use the screwdriver and heat gun to open up the drain and ice started melting and going thru the drain.

Now I am just waiting on the filter housing so water doesn't spray out when I need to change my filter. Then we should be good as new!

Thank you!
