Defrost cycle was not working in my GE side by side frig. Lots of ice forming on the back wall of the freezer. Replaced the heating element and visually inspected the thermostat puck (looks perfectly fine). Purchased and installed a new GE WR55X10942 control board. After installing the new GE control board and plug the frig. in - nothing - no compressor no water nothing. The compressor, water dispenser etc. work with the old board. Any suggestions. New board and pins look good. Suggestions? thanks

Make sure all connectors are in the correct spot. Check the outlet as well and on some models (look at instructions from control) you have to cut a wire in the back.
