I replaced the bearings and spider in my LG washer. Somewhere along the way, I found the part in the photo in the area where I was working. It's about 2" long. Not 100% sure it came from the washer (the basement is not very organized). I don't see the part in the washer's part diagrams and can't see any place where it would go.

Any help figuring out if this is a part that I need for the washer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

inserts into the hole under the top vent hose that goes from the back of the washer to the top of the outer tub just a few inches away (right side)
