Hi all,

Unique problem, and I can't find a similar issue through searches. My GE Advantium Oven will preheat to the right temperature (e.g. 350F), but then when the food is placed in the oven, the temperature starts to drop down (way too low- to say 175F, and never increases back to 350F on a 20 minute cycle). Clearly the Oven is capable of heating to that temp - since it preheats properly, and it can identify the right temp (as it stops preheating at around the right temp).

I just replaced the thermal sensor, but looks like I was barking up the wrong sensor. My latest theory is that the smart board has something wrong with it, but grateful for any other suggestions/confirmation..

P.s. did a diagnostic cycle, all checked out ok :(..

Thanks!
Tony

So don't buy the board just yet!!! remove your new sensor and cut and splice the wires directly together!!! sometimes I've had where the connectors expand when heating and do the exact thing you've described. I once spoke to GE techline and this was there solution. Worked like a charm.
