How do I remove the back panel and where exactly is the thermistor on my Kenmore upright freezer?

Do I need special tools for this job?

Do I need to remove another part in order to get to the thermistor?

Is replacing the thermistor considered "easy"?

Thanks for the info.

Doesn't give much in the parts breakdown but typically this this type freezer there are 3 or 4 Phillips screws on back panel inside freezer remove those to gain access to your evaporator. There should be the Thermistor attached to or around it. You may need to cut and splice the old one out with a pair of wire cutters and strippers but a fairly simplistic repair nonetheless.
