Hi there. I've got t GE Gas Oven and both the broiler and the oven burner won't ignite. The glowbars (which I just replaced for new) both glow brightly and draw 2.57 A. I tested the two valves and there is continuity between the the connection tabs, which I understand is good. Also, the gas stove lights, so there is gas and power. I also flipped the switch on the regulator, but it had no effect.

I'm just an amateur and I usually Google my way through repairs. I thought after I got the low amp reading on the igniters that that was the problem for sure, but replacing didn't help.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Go check out that article and watch the video. It explains in great detail how your oven works. Should answer all your questions. Take care!

Ur gas valve needs replace. They are normally closed so when ohming them out u should have less then one ohm. On both sets of terminals on the valve.
