Hi,

My GE fridge suddenly stopped cooling last night. Both the refrigerator and the freezer stopped cooling, although the fans and lights still work, the compressor isn't coming on. I checked for voltage at the compressor, and didn't get any readings from either of the 3 pins. I pulled out the capacitor, and at first I got a small reading, but then it went to zero and now it's staying at zero. I think it's the capacitor, but I'm not positive. Could it be something else besides the capacitor? Thanks,

-Tim

I bought a new capacitor, and installed it, but it didn't fix the problem. I also tested the compressor with my ohmmeter and it seems to be good. 10 ohms between one set of pins, 5.3 and 4.7 between the other. I'm not sure what to do next.
