I have a Whirlpool refrigerator WRF990SLAM00. French door bottom freezer about 2years old. I replaced the evap. fan located in the back of the refrigerator last year because it could not maintain the temp in the fridge. The coils had also frozen over in the fridge. Now the refrigerator will not go below 40degrees and the freezer is around 20. The Evap. fan in the fridge is working fine and there is no ice on the coils, the evap. fan in the freezer is working, but a little noisy and the coils were frozen over. I cleaned underneath the unit and thawed the ice on the coils in the freezer but the temp still is unable to reach 0 degrees in the freezer and has trouble maintaining the proper temp in the fridge.

Did you ever figure out what was going on with your fridge? I am having similar issues with mine.

I found this. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0...IV4NSVV3TUgyX2tlNjg/edit

I called Whirlpool and gave them the number of the pointer. They are sending out a guy to replace and are covering all parts and labor.

Wow! That pic looks like a low on freon problem. Which means its leaking freon. Notice it says the poor tech has to call WP. I wish you good luck on the unit. Hopefully WP will do the right thing.
