touch pad is not responding, only 4 'bars' above freezer temps lit.
losing temperature in freezer and fridge.
issue started-with no prior issues, 2 weeks ago.
i have checked house fuse, all good. dispenses ice, but food is not frozen and ice is clearly melting.
help!!

to un-plug and re-plug the fridge...i am incensed at myself for not thinking of this...cost me $85!!!!:mad: :mad: :mad:
then he tried to convince me it might be the control panel since frost on back wall of fridge, which has NEVER been there until this problem...
when he realized touch pad was working perfectly, and that problem was not with control panel, tried to say that another part which controls defrost function might be bad....would cost part +labor(min $65) to replace that part, but wouldn't charge me another service charge-which would need to be ordered...
i'm ok with cleaning out all frost and watching what happens next..
if i hadn't had defrosting food i would have done more research...before calling a repair co....
