Dryer stopped heating, did some research and plan to check the thermal fuse first. Before I do so, I know that I need to unplug the unit but do I need to disconnect the gas line also or just turn the gas valve off at the wall? Just want to be safe, have no experience with gas powered appliances and have a newborn in the house.

Thanks.
