Guys ive got this dryer and it seems like it takes foreve to dry the clothes ...

Ive replaced the igniter before so I thought id check it again...and it does work

Now just for the heck of it I ran the dryer with the frt cover off and timed how long cycles were for the heat and then off...

The heating cycle from the time the igniter starts and the flame goes out is about 25 seconds

The off cycle before ignition again is about 50 seconds do these intervals seem normal...

right now there are three items in the dryer one king size bed sheet one pillow case and one towel......
Ill see how long these three items take to dry....thanks for any help...Chris

Hello CNC. I see it's been some time since you posted this query and apparently have gotten no replies. Just wondering if you've figured out the problem as my Maytag gas dryer is behaving exactly as you describe.

My thread "Disassembly of Maytag dryer" posted on March 3, 2016.

If you've fixed your problem or have any insights I'd appreciate your input. Thanks

Hi
I have actually just fixed this ..yesterday..I changed out the hi limit switch the one in the flame tube opposite the flame sensor

My timer is now actually working as well

I also changed out my vent system too...my tubing was in the wall with that flexible plastic tubing..didn't like that when I found that out......

So yep it's all good...good luck
