I noticed late this evening that several things were starting to thaw in our chest freezer. I unplugged it and emptied it and put everything outside in coolers since it is so cold out (YAY!)...and then I noticed that a flat box was stuck up against the air intake. After I cleaned it out well, I plugged it back in and it is running. Will it work correctly? I have no idea how long that box has been there! What happens if that air intake is blocked? (Beside the food thawing) THANKS!

I cannot say.
All you can do is run it and check the temperature.

It could cause the compressor to overheat and perhaps damage it.
