I have a Viking gas range and the front left burner doesn't light. It sparks once and that's it. To get at parts i.e. Igniter and such do I need to remove top, if so how

Hey Tim, I'm not a pro but know how to get at the ignitor if your range is anything like mine (VGCC548-6gss). Remove the grill on top of the burner then remove the burner plate and the flame diverter. From here you should be able to see two screws, the orifice, and the ignitor. Use an allen wrench to un-screw the screws and remove assembly. On the underside of the assembly will be a wire that connects to the ignitor. Now, I'm not sure if the ignitor is your problem but that's how you can get to it. If it is, I've found that allvikingparts.com has genuine viking parts (not generic replacements) at reasonable prices (recently bought LP conversion kit and regulator from them). If the ignitor sparks then I might be looking at something else as the problem. Again, I'm not a pro. Just someone that has recently been taking apart and re-assembling my Viking range. Good luck!
