Hi We recently moved about 2 months back, Our KA refrigerator since the past 3-4 weeks has a random water puddle at the front right corner. Tracing back by hand feel, it seems the leak starts within 6 inches of the corner. Right behind this corner looks like the evaporator with the black fins. We see the water randomly. It does not occur or has not, when dispensing water or ice. I do not know if there is a water line there that flows nearby or if there is some drain pan that is evaporating.
Any guidance appreciated.

Here are your parts. You will have to choose the correct unit in the Matching Model Numbers section. Parts for KSF26C4XYY - AppliancePartsPros.comLooks like the drip tray is on the right side. Remove the kick plate to see if it is overfilling. If OK then check it for cracks. While working on the unit you may as well. Clean the condenser coils and fan. Clean the vents in the kick plate and the rear cover. Check to be sure that the condenser/compressor runs correctly. |

Denman, Thanks much. Will check. Just noticed water drains 1x time every two days or a small amount 1x times a day. is there a way for me to get a dwg of what the bottom layout looks like?
How do I check if the condensor/compressor runs correctly?
Thanks much again.

is there a way for me to get a dwg of what the bottom layout looks like? Sorry but I cannot find a service manual for this unit. I can get you the tech sheet, see the attachment.
How do I check if the condensor/compressor runs correctly? You can usually hear it running but also should be able to feel it vibrating. If it is running all the time there is a problem. if it turns on for a minute and then off for a short time (a couple minutes) (fast cycling) there is a problem. Different nit cycle at different rates mabee on fo 20 minutes and then off for an hour or so but it depends on the unit and how often the door is opened. Note that just because a compressor runs/vibrates does not mean that it or the sealed system is OK. |
