Hello,

1st I had an issue with no high speed spin. Then I checked the washer drain pump. When I removed the screw on lid, water gushed out (draining what was left in the tank) and it was clogged with what looked like very course sand/plastic. I looked where the inside rubber boot connects to the front tank and it looks like remnants of a plastic gasket.
Then I saw your video on drum bearings & seal replacement. I think that is what I need to do however I did not see any "gasket" in the parts list (where I found the debris) in the OEM manual. I don't want to go thru the bearing/seal replacement to find out that the front of the tank was damaged and needs to be replaced from the excessive wobble.... If i open the door and move the drum (up/down) it bounces nicely. I can see the shocks working full time with the bottom service plate off. I'm certain this is not normal since new machines do not have near this amount of movement.
Kenmore 11045996400 approx 11yrs old.

My thoughts:

You have gotten far more life out of this model than most, and should celebrate by buying a new machine, a basic top loader with no electronics if you can use a top loader, otherwise the simplest front loader you can find.

It is really not worth putting the money and time into a fix which even if you are successful will be on a machine with a limited remaining life.
