When in the spin cycle, it seems to be just louder. No thumping or anything like it is off balance. I haven't seen any leaking either.

My first thought would be that a bearing going out.

Yes, in these models the rear bearing often fails, and the noise will get louder. It is really not a repairable part and when the noise gets so loud that you cannot tolerate it then you will want to get a new machine.
