Hi so my washing machine started making this god awful sound. I stopped using it for a few days and forgot was broken then my girlfriend tried to use tonight and the crazy sound again. I did some tests tricking the top load door switch so could watch it, the machine works (fills, soaks, agitates, spins, etc). It gives a loud noise during the spin and agitate modes. I am trying to determine what I need to do to fix it. Appreciate any guidance.

Noises are the most difficult thing for us to diagnose from afar as we need to be there to hear them, and even then it is difficult. In most cases unless the source is obvious and and easy and inexpensive repair the noise is usually in a hard to repair expensive part like the transmission and replacing the machine is usually the best option.
