The damper motor in the Styrofoam housing between the freezer and refrigerator sounds and looks like it is slipping when opening (result is freezer works fine, but the refrigerator is not cooling). Basically, when it tries to open, it opens fully, then snaps shut like it is slipping. The housing is sealed, so cannot get into it. Is it possible that the motor is slipping and can I replace the whole housing. Other forums suggest the thermistor could be bad. Looks to me like mechanical issue, but interested in thoughts. Can share video if it helps. Don't want to get tech out hear because looks like easy fix if I can identify part.

As further info, a few days ago, started with snapping sound in periodic rhythm short quick clicks (started with 10), followed by pause, then cycle started again.

Pulled rest of unit apart, no ice build up or any other issues in the system.
