Washing machine agitator does not spin at both rinse cycles. Upon lifting the lid and shutting I hear a loud clunk and agitator will spin. I have replaced the timer and lid switch to no avail. Can you help identify my problem and possible solution.

What this sounds like is that the neutral drain is not shifting, but does so when you open the lid and stop the motor. So if the problem causes your washer not to perform the way you want it you are probably looking at changing out the transmission. That is not a difficult job on your model but it takes some time and it helps to have a helper. See the video on this site.
