(duplicate post- posted previously in "Dryer Repair" by mistake)

I spilled water on top of the range and hours later got Error Code F2E1: Stuck/Shorted Key. This is on a KitchenAid Gas Oven Range Model # KGSK901SWH00 with electronic oven controls.

I unplugged the oven/range overnight to stop the incessant beeping and when I replugged it, it was fully functional for half an hour before the error F2E1 reappeared and the oven baking was automatically shut off.

All four burners currently work and ignite just fine. If, when the error code is displayed, I hit the "off" button, I can get the oven to preheat again for a few minutes before the error code returns with four quick beeps and the preheating stops. Once preheating stops automatically, the error code remains displayed but there is no longer incessant beeping.

What parts might involved in a repair for this problem and how easy/difficult would it be for a novice to make the repair?

Thank you!
