Just trying to figure out what to fix. Problems I notice:

A year or so ago the Light Wash button wouldn't light up/select when pushed. So we just switched to the Normal Wash.

6 months ago the handle/lock feels like it doesn't lock, like the plastic doesn't engage anything inside. To open the dishwasher, we now have to give it a strong tug.

1 month ago when the Normal Wash would finish, do the heat dry as normal, and then the dishwasher would display a 9 and get stuck like that for hours. I'm not sure if it counts to 0 and then displays a 9 or counts down to 9 and sticks there.

Today when trying to select Normal Wash, after a few seconds it switches immediately to rinse only for 9 minutes.

Bleh. The problem returned. It ran a load fine last night. But the panel is acting glitchy again today.

I'm likely to just replace the stupid dishwasher. The front panel is discontinued and it's hard to find. People report the replaced control boards go out again in a couple years anyway. And the latch was bad design. So I'll stay away from Maytag/Whirlpool for my next choice.
