Hi I am getting a error 53 code on a dryer and it says it is some switch with the motor or the control panel I am trying to find out what one it would be

if I just turn the dryer on with the door closed it shows the error code 53 right away and cant do anything

but if I open the door and turn it on it powers up and I can close the door and press start and the motor hums but will not turn the drum

any pointers in the right didn't would be greatly appreciated I tried to help a buddy in a wheelchair out and change the heating element and shorted the wire and broke whatever it is thats not working and pay for it myself
