Hello, I have a KUDS24SEBL2 that is OLD, works great but after a wash cycle the "clean" light will not go off. After a wash cycle, the clean light is on as normal, I then open the door and the light goes out, close it again after emptying and the light comes back on. After closing the door with the light back on, I press "normal wash" and the dishwasher starts without me pressing start.

I'm thinking door handle or a switch in the door handle, can anyone help with a suggestion about where to start looking? Thank you!

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

I do not think it is a door switch as that does turn the lights off.

Could be that the start button is closed all the time.
Check it at the control panel output with a meter.
Due to the diodes in the circuit you will have to try both polarities.
I would use a medium resistance scale as I do not know how much current is required to forward bias the diode.

So when the start button is pushed the resistance should drop on P1-11 to P1-5.
Try both polarities re: red lead on 11 and black on 5 then black on 11 and red on 5.
Also try different resistance scales.

If pushing the start button makes no difference I would say is the problem.

Note that you may also need a new keyboard overlay as it may be peel and stick and they often get ruined when removing them.

If the keyboard is OK then odds are it is the control board (item 19 in section 3).
Note that it may be obsolete.
