frig was not cooling or freezing,changed tsd controller and run capisiter.frig worked ok for about 2 weeks then back to the same thingnot cooling or freezing again.any ideas?

Here are your parts includes a wiring diagram.
I am not sure what you mean by "tsd controller" Do you mean the Adaptive Defrost Board?
Is the compressor running? You can usually hear it but should also be able to feel it vibrating.
If it is running does it run constantly except when it goes through a defrost cycle? OR Does it short cycle (on for a couple minutes and then off for a couple)?
I am assuming that you are not getting any cooling at all. If this is not correct please explain exactly what is happening. |

The tsd controller is what the starter relay on this modelt is called,the run capacitor plugs into it, which plugs into the compressor.The compressor is doing what you call short cycling,i'm guessing I have a short that is causing start relay to go bad.

Is the condenser/compressor fan running?
If it is then yes you have a compressor problem and it will be an expensive repair. Often it makes more sense to put the dollars towards a new unit.
If the fan is not running then it could be that the compressor is just overheating. Perhaps all you need is a new fan. |
