Can I swap the agitator cap on this Roper Washer (RTW4640YQI) for a fabric softener dispenser?

If it will fit there should be no problem with operating the machine. But use fabric softener very sparingly. We get a lot of machines that have major problems because too much fabric softener gummed things up. Personally I think it is a waste of money to use it, but if you do just use as little as possible.
