I have a Kenmore bottom freezer Refrigerator, model # 795.71302.012. It needs frequent defrosting or it will completely shut down. How can I turn the freezer completely off to defrost, using the electronic control panel instead of pulling it out and unplugging?

The following is from the operators manual.
I think you put it into Demo by the same method.

The refrigerator has been put into the store Demo (Demonstration) Mode.
The Demonstration Mode disables the cooling system; only the lamps and display work normally.
To disable press either of the Cold Up buttons for 5 sec.

Also below is a servivce manual which may be useful to you.
You will have to join the site and be logged in to be able to download it.

Note that I am guessing that this will apply to your unit as I do not have a LG to Kenmore model number cross reference.
