The plastic touch pad buttons on out Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher purchased in 2008 are now cracking and breaking off. The machine works fine just the same. The pad appears to be a strip of plastic glued on to the control unit housing. To replace the touch pad, one needs to buy the entire housing for $151. Is it possible to repair the touch pad--for example with a strip of white electrician's tape--or obtain a new touch pad, remove the old, and glue on the replacement? We expect to sell our house in a few months and don't want to spend too much money on replacing the entire plastic unit on which the touch pad is glued. Thanks for any advice you can provide. Griot

There is no way to fix the control panel.

Besides you want it to not only fix it but for it to look good.

I would replace it.

Your price looks a little high but I cannot look it up at AppliancePartsPros without a full model number so I may be wrong.
