Came back from vacation and dishwasher panel showed the error iCO (had run a load as we were leaving, then sat for a week....not sure if related).

Error message indicates control board error. Panel lights up, but not able to run any cycle.

Is there any way to test that control panel is really the issue? Could anything else be causing this? $150 part. Only 1.5years old, technician and part will likely cost same as a replacement dishwasher. Not too concerned replacing part myself if it is similar to a tutorial I found online -- only need to remove inside panel on door.
