Lately my Whirlpool refrigerator has been intermittently cooling, both frig and freezer. I open the door, no fans on. I turn off the main dial control for the fridge, turn it back on, and the fan comes on and begins cooling. I keep the coils vacuumed and clean pretty regularly. There is no frost on the coils. The unit is still in fine shape looks wise. Within 2 years of ownership I replaced the start relay, a few years later the water fill solenoid. Otherwise it's been a pretty trouble-free unit. A secondary symptom beginning about the same time is the ice maker producing ice erratically. Sometimes it's making ice like gang busters, other times it slows way down. When it does slow down it appears that the ice is getting stuck in the tray and the fingers can't eject the ice normally...eventually they do break free. It seems the cold control of the whole unit is intermittently bonkers. Any ideas? I'm about an 8 out of 10 technically. Thanks.

You are missing several ending digits so you will have to choose the correct or closest unit in the Matching Model Numbers section.

Sounds like a bad cold control (thermostat) (item 9 is section 11).
It is not uncommon for them to stick open.
