The gas dryer has been running extremely hot for a while. Not visibly burning clothes but leaving them with a scorched smell. Our tenant has been partially drying then hanging the clothes to dry. Today she went to start the dryer and there is no heat. The drum turns, air circulates... no heat.
I think that the thermal cut out needs to be replaced which explains the no heat.
I've checked the vent, no clogs.
What can I look to to narrow down the cause of the high heat.
