Got a Whirlpool gas range Super Capacity 465 That, when set to automatically heat up to bake, takes about 2-3 times as long to come to temp. The ten-minute timer runs down & it's still ice cold, but if you let it continue another 20 mins it seems to heat up to temp. The broiler works just fine. Does this oven still have an igniter or is it igniterless?

Hi, Steve. I would like you to set the oven for "Bake" and after a couple of minutes check if the bake ignitor is glowing. If it glows but the burner is not lit, replace the bake ignitor. In order to open and safely ignite the gas an ignitor must pull a 3.25 Amps when it's hot. If you have a clamp-on ampmeter you can check the amps draw. The bake ignitor Part number: AP3135265
Here are the breakdown diagrams and parts list for your range: Model SF385PEGB0
When replacing the ignitor put a couple drops of water on each mounting screw - it will make a world of difference when removing the screws. Good luck. Please keep us posted with the result. Thank you, Simon.

Much obliged. Got the part on the way. It was only glowing red, not the white hot like you like to see.
