Hi,

My fridge was making a clapping noise, the fridge was warm but freezer was running fine, I noticed that the noise was coming from the fridge compartment from a box on the top (air diffuser) so I decided to open it and take a look. What I found out is that the diffuser was in fact making the noise, the diffuser blade wasn't opening all the way, it was trying to open but it was retracting back from halfway and making the noise.

My question is, is this a common problem, where the air diffuser get stock?

Is there a quick fix or the whole box needs to be changed?

Can someone be so kind and give me a brief explanation on how the diffuser works, how offer does that opens etc.?

FYI.
It was doing the clapping noise about every 10 second or so.

If it's the type that has a wiring harness, unplug the wiring harness and prop the diffuser door open.
