Hi

I have a maytag dishwasher Model #MDB7600awq that starts and fills with water, then stops. Any ideas?

Could be that it is related to the heater.
The unit is trying to heat the water to a set point temperature but for some reason cannot do this.
Check the heater and the hi-limit thermostat with a meter.

I would do this at the control board. You then check both of them in one go, They should measure about 16 ohms, see the tech sheet.

It may also be that the door switch with the white wires is not closing.

Be sure to remove power from the unit when working on it.

Another possibility is that the incoming water is too cold and then the heater cannot raise the water temperature in a specific time so the unit times out.
The water should be at least 120 degrees F.

If all the above are OK odds are high that it is a control board problem.
