Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/26/2015(UTC) Posts: 2		washer not spinning, i found a blown fuse on the speed control panel , i replaced the fuse and it blew as soon as i turned the washer on. local appliance shop said it was either the door switch or the speed control panel. trying not to waste mom's money. any clue which i should go after first or any tests i can perform to rule out one or the other? thanks

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		Impossible to tell, there is a ground past the fuse which is causing the wiring to pull too much current. The ground could be in a component, or wiring, and about the only way you can tell, unless you get lucky is to change out parts until you find the problem. If you have a meter you can try to find the ground by testing for continuity past the fuse, and you may get lucky and find it. Sorry not to have better advice.
