Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/15/2015(UTC) Posts: 1		i have a fairly new (less than 1 year) Whirlpool duet dryer and the control panel is completely unresponsive. It is not because it is locked. i have tried the unlocking steps and it does nothing. i have also tried re-setting it by turning the breaker on and off and it did nothing. Appliance repair guy came for a "diagnostic" visit. spent 10 seconds looking at it and said, Your control panel is not working.. you need to replace it. this will cost $350 for parts and $150 for labour (in Toronto). does anyone have experience with this? is it worth repairing? i am ticked because the machine is less than a year old (and no, i don't know if i have a warranty, because i can't find the purchase paperwork - silly me). i'm really new and inexperienced in this sort of stuff (recently separated) so any advice will be really helpful.

Also, you should contact the Whirlpool and give them a model and serial numbers so they can check if the dryer is still under the warranty. Thank you, Simon.
