LG LFC25765 Bottom Freezer French Door.

Last night I opened the freezer to get some ice and nearly everything was thawed and the few remaining ice cubes were floating in a pool of water. I'll note that the fridge portion was also too warm. I don't think either were room temperature yet, but they weren't cooling.

I emptied my spoiled food out of the freezer and placed a measuring cup of the remaining ice in the freezer to confirm that it was too warm, it slowly melted. I could still hear the fridge running, but it certainly wasn't cooling.

Before I went to bed I unplugged it and plugged it back in. To my surprise everything was working again and the cup of water I placed in the freezer was frozen. I'm currently at work and will probably go check on it when lunch rolls around in a few hours.

I was hoping it was the compressor, because that's all that's covered under warranty anymore...but a few minutes of searching has lead me to believe that it's the control board and it got stuck on defrost.

Can someone guide me through diagnosing the issue? Why don't they have OBDII scanner ports on refrigerators yet?...lol

EDIT TO ADD:
I can hear the fridge turn off when I open the door and on when I close it. The light also functions as expected for both the fridge and freezer.
