We had some bugs get into the door panel so I removed the door panel and switch/button panel. I wiped down the inside and then sprayed it with some raid, let it dry and reinstalled both.
When I reconnect the wiring harness the option lights on the button panel both blink simultaneously. Pressing and pressing and holding any button does not do anything. For example, the manual says press start/cancel after power loss, no change in state.
If I open the dishwasher door the lights go out.
When I close the dishwasher door the button panel is completely dark and unresponsive.
At first I thought I shorted something in the button panel but if I turn the breaker the option lights start blinking again then turn off when I open the door.
Ideas what is wrong? I haven't metered the door switch but if I short the contacts the dishwasher still does the same thing so I'm thinking the door switch is fine.
