little help with the wiring please.

the middle wires blue and white with red strip, is the 120 volt power

can I change the speed of this motor by using
the black wire [next o the blue]
or the blue with yellow strip [next to the white with red] ?

what are the red wires for?

I am trying to lower the rpm of this motor

thanks for your time :D

This is a single speed motor, you cannot change it's speed. The red wires are for switching the dryers heat circuit off when the motor is off via it's centrifugally operated switch.
