Then open the control panel and disconnect the flex ribbon that is connecting the touchpad to the control board from the control board connector and clean it with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. Check all other connectors, make sure they are properly seated. If this is not going to help you should consider buying a new washer because all major parts are no longer available :(.
