I have a 2 year old dishwasher. About 1 year ago, the control panel started acting odd. You could push the buttons you wanted and the washer would work fine, but there were always buttons lit up that were not supposed to be.
Now, a few days ago the dishwasher didn't work no matter what was pushed. This morning as i messed with it one last time, the washer started when i was pushing buttons.
Any ideas, i was going to unplug the unit for a few hours tonight.

Hi.
In your case it could be ether a control board or shorted control panel. Please provide the correct dishwasher model number.
Thank you.
Simon.

Hi.
I double checked the color and it shows Biscuit not White. But anyway the console assembly in White is part number AP5690796 and in Biscuit AP5306157
It's easy to replace it, just make sure that you unplug the dishwasher!
Thank you,
Simon.
