I was given this washer and so don't know anything except that it fills, agitates and empties, but doesn't spin during the spin cycle. I pulled off the knob to make sure everything was lined up (watched a video on Youtube about how the dial can come unseated) but it still doesn't spin. Just wondering if it's worth keeping around to repair or off to the scrap yard.

Operate it with the front panel off and turn the dial to spin and see what happens. If the motor and belt are turning then the transmission is probably bad and it is time to replace the machine.
